Day 01: Depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive north through lush farmland and coffee plantations, to the base hotel of the treehotel. You will check in for the treehotel with an overnight bag, and lunch will be taken here. After lunch, transfer to the treehotel built high among forest trees and overlooking a waterhole where animals gather to drink water and lick salt. The rest of the day is at leisure to watch game at the waterhole. Dinner and overnight at the treehotel.


Day 02: Depart after breakfast and drive further north to the edges of the "Northern Frontier" District. This is a harsh and arid landscape with sparse vegetation and little or no game, except for the broad swathe cut by the Uaso Nyiro River where game and vegetation are plentiful.

Lunch at the lodge/luxury tented camp will be followed by a game drive in the Reserve to see the rare and distinctive northern species of game peculiar to this area - Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx and long necked gerenuk. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/luxury tented camp.


Day 03: Full day in Samburu with game drives done in the early morning and late afternoon hours. Full board and overnight at the lodge/luxury tented camp.


Day 04: Depart after breakfast and drive to the luxurious Mt Kenya Safari Club, built on the slopes of Mt Kenya and facing its twin snow capped peaks. Lunch at the Club and afternoon at leisure to enjoy a round of golf or for a swim in the heated pool. Optional activities are offered by the Club at extra cost - tennis, sauna, horseriding, a visit to the animal orphanage. Dinner (smart casual wear is required) and overnight at the Mt Kenya Safari Club.

Day 05: Today, you will drive into the Great Rift Valley, to one of the lakes on the valley floor, Lake Nakuru. The lake is host to a large number of flamingoes that gather at the water's edge, giving the lake a pink hue when viewed from afar. Lunch at the lodge will be followed by a game drive in the park, together with a visit to the lake shore to see the flamingoes. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.


Day 06: Drive across the vast floor of the Great Rift Valley, to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. This is Kenya's richest game park and is renowned for its prides of black maned lions. You will arrive at your lodge/luxury tented camp in time for lunch and in the afternoon we have scheduled a game drive in the Reserve to introduce you to the game in the area. Dinner and overnight at the lodge/luxury tented camp.

Day 07: Full day in the Mara with game drives done in the early morning and late afternoon hours. Full board and overnight at the lodge/luxury tented camp.

Day 08: Depart after breakfast and return to Nairobi where you will arrive in the early afternoon hours. You will be transferred to your hotel.
