Early morning pick up from your hotel, and drive to Shimoni Beach. Here, you will board one of 2 dhows;
'Pomboo' meaning dolphin, or 'Al-Ikhlas' meaning purity. Tea, coffee & snacks are served after a brief introductory talk, and off you sail into the Kisite Marine Reserve, and into dolphin territory marked by the 2 islands of Mpunguti wa Chine & Mpunguti ya Juu.
Snorkeling on the reef, and looking out for dolphins take up the morning. Lunch is served in a sheltered cove on the island of Mpunguti wa Chine - a traditional Swahili lunch of fish, rice, chapattis & coconut sauce.
You can swim here and after lunch, explore the island to catch a glimpse of the great land crabs. On the way back to Shimoni, you will be looking out for dolphins.
