As you drive through the lush forest found at the entrance to the park, you will be able to see elephant, giraffe, zebras & baboons moving through the dappled light of the sun filtering through the thick canopy of trees.

Further along, you come to acacia woodland, which spreads out onto open grassland where large herds of buffalo can be seen.

The stunning soda lake, Lake Manyara, is home to masses of flamingoes and rich birdlife. You may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of lions draped over the branches of the umbrella-shaped acacia trees.
