The North Coast is accessible from Mombasa by the Nyali Bridge, and has a variety of luxurious hotels located on the beachfront itself.

Accommodation ranges from traditional makuti (palm-thatched) roofed cottages, to ultra modern complexes of concrete & glass. The waters of the Indian Ocean are warm (27ºC - 35ºC) and are never disturbed by storms.

The shores are protected by a coral reef, offering safety to both bathers and other marine life. The North Coast has a number of fascinating projects for example, Bamburi Nature Trail, Kipepeo Aquarium, Kenya Marineland, Bombolulu Handicrafts Centre, and a large entertainment complex at Mamba Village.
