Day 01: Met on arrival in Windhoek and transferred to your guest house where you are booked for the night on bed & breakfast basis. Day at leisure and overnight at the Olive Grove Guest House.
Day 02: Breakfast and depart, driving south through the Namib desert to arrive at your lodge located on the banks of the Tsauchab River. Here, you will check in for a stay of 2 nights on dinner, bed & breakfast basis. Rest of the day is at leisure and dinner and overnight at Hoodia Desert Lodge.
Day 03: Today, you will undertake a tour to Sossusvlei. Departure will be at dawn, and after photography stops at the Big Dunes, enter the dry river bed of the Tsauchab River. Hike to Dead Vlei and later Sossusvlei, where you will enjoy a morning tea break. Drive to Elim Dune for an 'Out of Africa' picnic lunch after which you will visit Sesriem Canyon. Return to the lodge in the afternoon hours. Dinner and overnight at Hoodia Desert Lodge.
Day 04: Breakfast and depart for the beautiful Namibian coastline, to arrive at the seaside town of Swakopmund. Check into your hotel for a 3 night stay on bed & breakfast basis and the rest of the day is free. Enjoy sandboarding, quadbiking or skydiving (available at extra cost) or simply explore the town with its spectacular beaches, craft markets and museums. Overnight at The Strand Hotel.
Day 05: Morning transfer to the Walvis Bay Waterfront to embark on your cruise - you may spot flying pelicans, dolphins and seals, and also during the season, whales, sunfish and turtles. Mid morning return to the waterfront to meet your 4WD guide. Visit the Walvis Bay Lagoon to see masses of flamingoes, then continue to the dry river bed of the Kuiseb River Delta, and weather permitting, drive straight through to the Sandwich Harbour Lagoon. This wetland area is home to many large wading birds, including 8 endangered species. Enjoy oysters and sparkling wine on the dunes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, or on the beach. Return to Walvis Bay in the afternoon hours. Overnight at The Strand Hotel.
Day 06: Full day at leisure in Swakopmund. Optional activities available are sandboarding, quadbiking, Cape Cross Tour, Living Desert Tour, Township tours, birding tour, Dolphin Marine Cruise, Tamdem skydiving, sea kayaking and a variety of scenic flights. Overnight at The Strand Hotel.
Day 07: Depart after breakfast and drive to the Central Highlands. This is a backbone of mountains that divides the coastal desert regions from the more temperate interior. Drive to the Erongo Wilderness Conservancy which is centred around the Erongo Mountains, consisting of huge granite and boulder formations on the outskirts of an ancient volcano. Check into the lodge on half board basis. A guided nature walk in included in the cost of your stay at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Erongo Wilderness Lodge.
Day 08: Today, you will drive further north to the Etosha National Park. The Park owes its unique landscape to the Etosha mineral pan, a vast shallow depression of approx 5000 sq kms. A series of perennial springs and waterholes along the southern edge of the pan attract game to the area. There will be a game drive in the Park and dinner and overnight at Mokuti Etosha Lodge.
Day 09: Two game drives in an open air vehicle on this day. Dinner and overnight at Mokuti Etosha Lodge.
Day 10: Breakfast and depart for Windhoek. On arrival in the city, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
