Further along the coast from Mombasa is Shimoni, from where one can visit Kisite & Mpunguti Marine National Parks, and where you can watch for dolphins.

Shimoni is also a base for deep-sea fishing, and is the site where slaves were kept in a cave prior to being shipped out in the few days of the flourishing slave trade.
