Detailed Itinerary:

DAY 1: Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met & assisted to check in for your domestic flight into Tarangire National Park. Flight time is approximately 20 minutes. On arrival into Tarangire airstrip, your guide will meet you and transfer you by road to Oliver's with a game drive en route. Lunch and afternoon at leisure. After afternoon tea, go out on a game drive looking for large elephant herds, which is what Tarangire is famous for. Other wildlife here include; buffalo, leopard, lion, hyena and 550 bird species. Dinner and overnight at Oliver's

DAY 2: Today, you will go on a guided walking safari early in the morning. You will be taught how to look for signs of wildlife nearby, from bird calls to tracks in the earth. The advantage of a walking safari over a safari in a vehicle, is that you can approach small animals such as warthogs, small antelope species and bird life, who are likely to be less skittish. Return to Camp for lunch and afternoon rest/tea, before heading out again, this time in a vehicle. Stop somewhere scenic for sundowners, and continue your game drive well into night, looking for nocturnal animals such as mongoose, nightjars, as well as lions out hunting. Return to Camp for a late dinner and overnight at Oliver's.

DAY 3: After a leisurely breakfast, depart for the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Lake Manyara. On arrival into Manyara airstrip, your guide will meet you and transfer you by road to The Highlands, located on the edge of Olmoti Crater, Ngorongoro Crater. The journey will take 3 hours through coffee plantations and you will enjoy a packed lunch on the way. Stop at the viewpoint to admire the spectacular landscape, before continuing your drive around the rim until you reach Olmoti Crater. If you feel like stretching your legs, you can opt for a guided walk from the Camp up to the rim of Olmoti Crater, passing through dense forest and waterfalls. Dinner and overnight at The Highlands.

DAY 4: After an early morning breakfast, depart with your guide for Ngorongoro Crater, it will take an hour's drive before you get to the descent road. Spend the morning here on the vast crater floor, looking for animals such as; lion, leopard, black rhino, elephant, buffalo, zebra and wildebeest. Find a shady spot for a picnic lunch, before heading back home. Back home, relax for a while, then towards late afternoon, go to one of the nearby Maasai villages, and learn about their rich culture and also take part in their afternoon activities, which often includes rounding up cattle into the boma for the night. Dinner and overnight at The Highlands.

DAY 5: Today, after breakfast, you will drive 3 hours away to Manyara Airstrip, where you will catch a flight to central Serengeti. Flight time is approximately 45 minutes. On arrival into Serengeti, your guide will meet you and transfer you by road to Namiri Plains. Lunch and afternoon game drive in the Serengeti, whose area is 15000 square kms of vast savannah plains. The Serengeti is part of the Masai Mara - Serengeti ecosystem, where around 2 million herds of wildebeest, zebra & gazelle make their Great Migration year-round. Return to Camp early evening, in time for drinks around the campfire. Dinner and overnight at Namiri Plains.

DAY 6: Early morning and afternoon game drives will be done here in the Serengeti. There are more than 300 bird species, and wildlife include; lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino, wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, hyena and hippo. This is also where hot air balloon safaris take place (additional cost and prebooking is necessary). Return to Camp during the heat of the day for lunch, or to relax by the pool, or get a relaxing massage. Dinner and overnight at Namiri Plains.

DAY 7: After breakfast, depart for the nearby airstrip and take a 2-hour flight south to Ruaha National Park. On arrival into Ruaha, your guide will meet you and transfer you to Jabali Ridge with a game drive en route. Arrive in time for lunch, then either rest or take a refreshing swim in the infinity pool, before going on an afternoon game drive, exploring the sandy riverbeds looking for elephants as they dig for water or leopards hiding in the rocky kopjes. Dinner and overnight at Jabali Ridge.

DAY 8: Today, you will enjoy a morning walking safari experiencing viewing wildlife from a different perspective. Listen to the bird calls, look for tracks & signs in the earth and encounter smaller animals which would normally run away at the sound of a vehicle. Return to the Camp for lunch and to relax by the pool or in your room, before heading out for an afternoon game drive, driving further afield. There's a wide variety of wildlife to be found in this Park; large herds of buffalo, hippo and more unusual antelope species such as sable & lesser kudu, and if you are really lucky, wild dog - which roam huge distances each day in search of their next meal, making sightings impossible to predict. Dinner and overnight at Jabali Ridge.

DAY 9: After your final breakfast, depart for the airstrip for a late-morning flight to Dar es Salaam. Flight time is approximately 2 hours, with other passengers from other Camps & Lodges being dropped off or picked up en route. Upon arrival into Dar es Salaam International Airport, the airline will assist you in connecting from the domestic terminal to the international terminal, where you can check in for your flight back home.
